Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications as of the last date of application (17/11/2026):
- Gynecologist Class-1: MBBS Degree + MD (Gynecology) or PG Diploma in Gynecology + Registration with Gujarat Medical Council.
- Pediatrician Class-1: MBBS Degree + MD (Pediatrics) or PG Diploma in Pediatrics + Registration with Gujarat Medical Council.
- Food Analyst Class-2: Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Agriculture Science, Animal Science, Fisheries Science, Biotechnology, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food and Nutrition, Dairy Technology, Oil Technology, or Veterinary Sciences from a recognized university OR Associate of Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts + minimum three years’ experience in food analysis + declared qualified as a Food Analyst by a notified board.
- Medical Officer Class-2: MBBS Degree + Registration with Gujarat Medical Council.
- Staff Nurse Class-3: Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from an INC recognized institute OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
- Senior Clerk Class-3: Graduate from a recognized university + 1 year of experience in a similar responsible post.
- Clerk cum Computer Data Entry Operator Class-3: Graduate from a recognized university + CCC course pass + basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services (Classification & Recruitment) Rules, 1967.
Age Limit (as on 17/11/2026)
The minimum age limit for all posts is 18 years. The maximum age limits are as follows:
- Gynecologist Class-1, Pediatrician Class-1, Food Analyst Class-2, Staff Nurse Class-3: 40 years
- Medical Officer Class-2, Senior Clerk Class-3, Clerk cum Computer Data Entry Operator Class-3: 35 years
Age Relaxation:
- 5 years for male SC, ST, SEBC, EWS candidates of Gujarat.
- 10 years for female SC, ST, SEBC, EWS candidates of Gujarat (including 5 years for women). Maximum 45 years.
- 5 years for unreserved female candidates. Maximum 45 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Service rendered + 3 years.
- Differently Abled Person (Unreserved Male): 10 years. Maximum 45 years.
- Differently Abled Person (Unreserved Female): 15 years. Maximum 45 years.
- Differently Abled Person (Reserved Male): 15 years. Maximum 45 years.
- Differently Abled Person (Reserved Female): 20 years. Maximum 45 years.
- JMC permanent/contract employees (for Ad. No. 05, 06, 09/2026-27 *only*): Maximum 45 years.
- Widows: 5% of obtained marks will be added to their score.
Application Fees
The application fees are as follows:
- Unreserved, SEBC, EWS (Male) Candidates: ₹1000/-
- All Female Candidates, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Differently Abled Persons: ₹500/- (50% of fees)
Fees are non-refundable and must be paid online.
Selection Process
The selection process for JMC Recruitment 2026-27 will involve:
1. Competitive Written Examination (MCQ based, CBRT/OMR).
2. Document Verification and/or Interview (as per JMC criteria).
3. A merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written examination and interview (if applicable).
4. Candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.
