🎓 Educational Qualification (As on 04.05.2026)

The SSC Phase 14 recruitment classifies posts into three primary educational levels:

  • Matriculation Level: Candidates must have passed the 10th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Higher Secondary (10+2) Level: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
  • Graduation & Above Level: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Note: Specific experience or specialized degrees/diplomas may be required for certain technical or specialized posts as detailed in Annexure-III of the official notification.

⏳ Age Limit (As on 01/01/2026)

  • The general age limit ranges from 18 to 30 Years, depending entirely on the specific post category applied for (e.g., 18-25, 18-27, 20-25, or 18-30 years).
  • Age Relaxation: Standard upper age limit relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

  • SC / ST / PwBD / ESM / Women Candidates: Fully Exempted (Rs. 0/-)

📝 Selection Process

The selection will be executed through a highly transparent, merit-based process:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): An Objective Type Multiple Choice Question test comprising General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
  2. Skill Test: Typing/Data Entry/Computer Proficiency Tests will be conducted only if prescribed in the Essential Qualification for the specific post. It will be qualifying in nature.
  3. Document Verification (DV): Scrutiny of original certificates by the respective User Departments.

🚀 How to Apply for SSC Phase XIV 2026

  1. Visit the newly launched official SSC portal: ssc.gov.in.
  2. Click on “Login or Register” to complete the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) process. (Note: OTRs generated on the old website ssc.nic.in are no longer valid).
  3. Log in to your candidate dashboard using your new Registration Number and Password.
  4. Under the “Live Examination” tab, locate “Phase-XIV/2026/Selection Posts” and click on Apply.
  5. Select your preferred Examination Center Region and carefully choose the specific Post Code you wish to apply for.
  6. Capture and upload your live photograph (without spectacles or a cap) directly via webcam or the SSC mobile app, and upload your scanned signature.
  7. Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit your form. Take a clear printout for future reference.
