Educational Qualification and other details:

a Bachelor‟s degree in Science in Agriculture obtained from any of the Agriculture Universities incorporated or established by or under the Central Agriculture University Act or a State Agriculture University Act in India or Agriculture Degree from University approved by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

1) The basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

2) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both languages are essential

Candidates of General (Unreserved) category have to pay Rs. 100/- + applicable postal charges or Rs. 100/- + Service Charges through online mode as Application Fees, while Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Unreserved category, Ex-Servicemen of Gujarat State and physically disabled candidates have not to pay application fees. While candidates of reserved category of other states have to pay application fee.

Rs. 39,900-1,26,600/- (Pay Matrix Level-7)

Selection process

(1) Exam Pattern: Candidates will be selected for appointment to these posts by conducting a Preliminary test and Interview. Candidates will be declared eligible for the interview after scrutinizing the required applications as per the Priliminary test marks. If the candidate gets less than 15% marks in the Priliminary test, he / she will not be considered eligible for interview. The medium of this test will be decided by the Commission. The Priliminary test will usually be held at Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad and candidates will have to be present at their own expense. The Priliminary test will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks of General Studies and 200 questions of 200 marks of the Concerned Subject. Total 300 questions of 300 marks. Time Duration for Priliminary test will be 180 minutes.

(2) As per the Instruction/Provision of the Commission, the candidates of each category are being called for interview as per following norms:

(3) The Weighted Marks of Priliminary Test & Interview are calculated as follows: ‐ [Marks obtained in P.T. X 50/300 = Weighted Marks of Primary Test] + [Marks obtained in Interview X 50/100 = Weighted Marks of Interview] = Total Weighted Marks.
