૧. શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત : કેમેસ્ટ્રી અથવા ફીઝીકસ સાથે
બી.એસ.સી. પાસ અને નેશનલ ફાયર સર્વિસ કોલેજ, નાગપુર ધ્વારા ચાલતો ડીવીઝનલ ઓફિસર્સ કોર્ષ પાસ.
૨. અનુભવ : ફાયર સેવાને લગતી કેડરમાં કામગીરીનો
કુલ્લે-૧૪ વર્ષનો અનુભવ હોવો જોઈએ, જે પૈકી ડેપ્યુટી ચીફ ફાયર ઓફિસરની અથવા તેની સમકક્ષ જગ્યા ઉપરનો ૩(ત્રણ) વર્ષનો ઓછામાં ઓછો અનુભવ અથવા ડીવીઝનલ ઓફિસરનો કોર્ષ પાસ કર્યા પછી છ વર્ષનો અનુભવ.
૩. હેવી મોટર વ્હીકલ ચલાવવાનું વેલીડ ડ્રાઈવીંગ લાઈસન્સ ધરાવતા હોવા જોઈએ.

Dy. Chief Fire Officer:

૧ . શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત : માન્ય વિદ્યાપીઠના કેમેસ્ટ્રી
અને ફીઝીકસ સાથે બી.એસ.સી. અને નેશનલ ફાયર સર્વિસ કોલેજ, નાગપુર દ્વારા ચાલતો ડીવીઝનલ ઓફિસર્સ કોર્ષ પાસ કરેલો હોવો જોઈએ.
૨. અનુભવ : ફાયર સેવાને લગતી કેડરમાં કામગીરીનો કુલ્લે ૧૦ વર્ષનો અનુભવ, જે પૈકી ડીવીઝનલ ઓફિસર્સ કોર્ષ પાસ કર્યા બાદ ત્રણ વર્ષનો ઓછામાં ઓછો અનુભવ.
૩. હેવી મોટર વ્હીકલ ચલાવવાનું વેલીડ ડ્રાઈવીંગ લાઈસન્સ ધરાવતા હોવા જોઈએ

સુરત મ્યુનિસિપલ કોર્પોરેશન દ્વારા ફાયર ખાતામાં બહાર પાડેલી જગ્યા માટે વય મર્યાદાની વાત કરીએ તો ચીફ ફાયર ઓફિસર માટે વધુમાં વધુ 50 વર્ષની ઉંમર અને ડેપ્યુટી ચીફ ફાયર ઓફિસર માટે વધુમાં વધુ 48 વર્ષની વય મર્યાદા રાખવામાં આવી છે.
