ITRA Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

• Professor: Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020. MD/MS (Ayu.) recognized by CCIM under Schedule-II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020 in the concerned subject. PhD in the concerned subject. Registration with concerned State Board/Council or Central registration issues by CCIM/NCISM. Minimum ten high quality research papers indexed in SCOPUS or Pubmed or journals with an impact factor. Minimum score of 120, as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance based Appraisal System (PBAS). Fourteen years full-time Post-Graduate teaching experience or fourteen years of regular/full time research experience.
• Associate Professor: Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020. MD/MS (Ayu.) recognized by CCIM under Schedule-II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020 in the concerned subject. PhD in the concerned subject. Registration with concerned State Board/Council or Central registration issues by CCIM/NCISM. Minimum seven high quality research papers indexed in SCOPUS or Pubmed or journals with an impact factor. Minimum score of 75, as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance based Appraisal System (PBAS). Total Eight years of regular/full time teaching experience, out which at least six years PG teaching experience or Total Eight years of regular/full time research experience.
• Assistant Professor: Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020. MD/MS (Ayu.) recognized by CCIM under Schedule-II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020 in the concerned subject. Registration with concerned State Board/Council or Central registration issues by CCIM/NCISM. Having cleared National Teacher's Eligibility Test (NTET) conducted by NCISM/Having NCISM teacher's code. Minimum three high quality research papers indexed in SCOPUS or Pubmed or journals with an impact factor. Three years regular/full-time teaching or research experience from recognized teaching/research Institute after obtaining PG degree.
• Deputy Director (PG): A degree in Ayurveda from a recognized Institute/University. A recognized Postgraduate degree in Ayurveda in any discipline. Registered with any State/UT Medical Board/Council or Central Registration issued by Central Council of Indian Medicine or NCISM. PhD degree in any concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline of Ayurveda (Desirable). Five research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC Care listed journals and total research/academic score of 120 (Desirable). Six years of Teaching experience in a recognised institution or six years of research experience.
• Deputy Director (Pharmacy): A degree in Ayurveda or Pharmacy from Institute/University established by law or statutory body. A recognised Postgraduate degree in Rasashasthra and Bhaishajya Kalpana or Dravyaguna discipline of Ayurveda OR M. Pharma (Ayurveda) degree OR M. Sc. (Medicinal Plants) with bachelor in Ayurveda background degree. PhD degree in any concerned/ relevant discipline (Desirable). Five research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC Care listed journals and total research/academic score of 120 (Desirable). Registered with concerned council (Desirable). Six years of Teaching/industry/pharmacy experience or six years of Research experience.
• Deputy Director (UG): A degree in Ayurveda from a recognised Institute/University. A recognised Postgraduate degree in Ayurveda in any discipline. Registered with any State/UT Medical Board/Council or Central Registration issued by Central Council of Indian Medicine or NCISM. PhD degree in any concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline of Ayurveda (Desirable). Five research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC Care listed journals and total research/academic score of 120 (Desirable). Six years of Teaching experience in a recognised institution or six years of Research experience.
• Pharmaceutical Chemist: M. Pharm (Ayu)/M. Pharm in Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry OR M.Sc. (Analytical/ Organic/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry) OR M.Sc. (Medicinal Plants) in Phytochemistry. PhD degree in concerned subject. At least five research papers published in journals indexed in Scopus or PubMed or having Impact factor. Research experience of working on the Ayurvedic or Natural drugs (Desirable). Experience of undertaking independent research Projects as Principal Investigator (PI) (Desirable). Experience of undertaking/leading sponsored R&D projects/consultancy and related activities (Desirable). Five years regular/full-time teaching/research experience in the concerned subject from recognized teaching/research Institute after obtaining PG degree.
