RESERVE BANK OF INDIA (RBI) Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification and other details: 

i. At least a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

 ii. A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of exservicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.

iii. Candidates applying for post in a particular Recruiting Office should be proficient in the language (i.e., know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the Recruiting Office.

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA (RBI) Recruitment 2026 Age Limit:

Between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/02/1998 and not later than 01/02/2006 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

• Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
• Age Relaxation for OBC: 3 years
• Age Relaxation for PwBD: 10 years (General/EWS), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
• Age Relaxation for Ex-servicemen: Extent of service plus 3 years, subject to maximum 50 years

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA (RBI) Recruitment 2026 SALARY

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹29,000/- per month in the scale of ₹29000– 1700 (3) – 34100 – 2040 (4) - 42260 – 2720 (6) – 58580 – 2950 (2) – 64480 – 3370 (3) – 74590 – 4050 (1) – 78640 and other allowances, as admissible from time to time. At present, initial Monthly Gross Emoluments (without HRA) for Assistant will be approximately ₹58,514/-.

** House Rent Allowance of 15% of Pay will be paid to them, additionally, if they are not staying in Bank’s accommodation.

Phase I: Preliminary Examination (100 Marks)

·         English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 20 Minutes

·         Numerical Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes

·         Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions (35 Marks) – 20 Minutes

·         Total: 100 Questions, 60 Minutes.

Phase II: Main Examination (200 Marks)

·         Subjects: Test of Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.

·         Structure: 40 Questions per section (Total 200 Questions).

·         Duration: 135 Minutes (Sectional timing applies).

Note: There will be negative marking of 1/4th marks for wrong answers in both Prelims and Mains.
