Educational Qualification and other details:
I. a Diploma in Horticulture obtained from a polytechnic of any of the Agriculture/ Horticulture Universities Incorporated or established by or under the Central Agriculture/ Horticulture Universities Act or State Agriculture/ Horticulture Universities Act in India;
II. basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967: and
III. adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit:
· Minimum: 18 years
· Maximum: 33 years
· Relaxations in upper age limit are applicable for Reserved Categories, Women, Divyang, and Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

Salary
· Fixed Pay: ₹40,800/- per month for the first 5 years.
· After successful completion of 5 years and subject to satisfactory performance, candidates will be placed in the regular pay scale of ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Level-5, 7th Pay Commission).
Selection Process
The selection will be made through a Competitive Examination (MCQ based) conducted in CBRT/OMR mode.
Exam Pattern
The exam will consist of two parts:
Part – A (50 Marks)
1. Reasoning Ability & Data Interpretation – 30 Marks
2. Quantitative Aptitude – 20 Marks
Part – B (150 Marks)
1. Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarat-specific topics & General Knowledge – 30 Marks
2. Subject-related questions (Horticulture) – 120 Marks
Total Marks: 200
· Total Questions: 200 (50 from Part-A + 150 from Part-B)
· Exam Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)
· Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

· General Category (Unreserved): ₹500/-
· Reserved Categories (Women, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Divyang, Ex-Servicemen): ₹400/-
· Fee once paid will be refunded to candidates who appear for the exam.
