AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Exam is conducted by
Indian Air Force twice in a year for the recruitment of candidates in Short
Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and
Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non Technical)
Branches.
IAF also recruit candidates for the grant of PC/SSC for NCC
Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch) and for Meteorological Entry. It is one of

Age Limit:

dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current
Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e.
born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003(both dates inclusive).

Application Fee
Generally, the fee is constant for the past few years, but
students must check the official notification for the latest revised application
fee for AFCAT.
Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any
account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
The application fee must be paid online itself. Candidates
registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/-
(non-refundable) as examination fee. However, candidates registering for NCC
special entry and Meteorology are not required to pay.

Written Exam Pattern
AFCAT
Written Exam is an entry level exam for the candidates. One must need to score
the minimum qualifying marks (or the cut off being announced by the Indian Air
Force) in order to get the call letter for AFSB.
A
candidate needs to clear both Written Exam as well as AFSB Interview in order
to get their names in the final merit list.

AFCAT exam
will consist of four sections and EKT ( for ground duty(technical) branch only
